The Government has set up an app to provide all information about the elections including the voting procedure and sops the SOPs. The project is dubbed Uchaguzi. You can access the information and thereafter download the app here “https://www.uchaguzi.go.ug/

Not to be outdone, NUP Flag Bearer, Bobi Wine Kyagulany Ssentamu has laid out a vote protection plan which will involve his poling agents and EVERY UGANDAN photographing and documenting the declaration forms and thereafter post them to this app (UVote) available at Google Play Store. Bobi says they will be sending the app to Ugandans via WhatsApp too.

The NUP candidate was addressing the nation, January 2nd 2021 as his “New Year Message”. This is NUP’s last measure for protecting their vote. Bobi Wine called his supporters to go out in big numbers to vote.

Bobi Wine alleges that they’ve heard of fake tally centres being set up in Nakasongola and other places to rig the vote. The app will be downloaded by the public and results will be posted from each polling station to be compared with the Electoral Commission’s. The Electoral Commission is yet to respond to whether or not this is legal.

National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi says the injustices against Ugandans must come to an end and has urged people to exercise their power towards this on 14th January when they vote new leaders. Kyagulanyi has also said the party is making good use of technology to guard its vote. He made his New Year address at his home in Magere, Wakiso district.
