Ugandan local gospel singer Julie “Nalugya” Mutesasira has intrigued Ugandans especially believers when photos of her kissing another woman surfaced online. Right there (at the pulpit moment when the the marriage officiator goes: with the power handed to me, I now therefore announce you wife and wife, may the bride Kiss the bride). The photos of her kissing a fellow woman during their wedding went viral on social media October 21st.

The photos emerged after his now ex husband, Sen Pastor Steven Mutesasira of (Redeemed of the Lord Evangelistic Church in Kamwokya, Kampala), officially wedded his new bride and wife identified as Joyce Mutesasira in an event full of glamour and glory over the weekend of October 12th.

In the past, it was rumored that Julie had gone to to work in Canada but recently, she separated with her husband after 13 years of marriage and the reason she fled to Canada is now obvious that she wanted out. She had feelings for someone else, a lesbian. Before this incident, Pastor Steven Mutesasira came out in defense of her then claiming that “there was nothing to it”

Eventually things turned out different and as you can see for yourself in these videos:

Woah! It’s now official, Julie Mutesasira has married a fellow woman as seen in the photos below. Check out the new brides and grooms respectively:

The photos have indeed left the Born Again Christians in shock and many are still delusional about the news. Some of them are taking it with a grain of salt and some people allover claim; she did this to secure permanent citizenship for her children Esther and Ezekiel in Canada. The kids have since then decided to take sometime off social media in a post:

Who is Julie “Nalugya” Mutesasira?

Before Julie Mutesasira left the Uganda, she was a beloved gospel singer with many hit songs from her discography. These include: Niinze, Lwana Nabo, Saba, Asobola, Bewuunya, love ballads such as Ekinyumira, Nterekela and our favorite gospel song of hers ft. Irene Herberts; Ogulumizibwe.

Hints that She Was Into Women

One thing that now gives Julie Mutesasira away – obviously is her choice of fashion. Julie Nalugya is a true tomboy. She always wears jeans and shorts in most of her pictures, we couldn’t find pictures of her in female like clothing apart from her music videos:

If you don’t know, A tomboy is a girl who exhibits characteristics or behaviors considered typical of a boy. Common characteristics include wearing masculine clothing and engaging in games and activities that are physical in nature and are considered in many cultures to be unfeminine or the domain of boys. Most tomboys are gay.

What About Her Christian Image?

According to a popular preacher speaking on the news, homosexuality is illegal according to the bible in (Leviticus, and the stories of Sodom and Gomorrah) but the best verse that explains why some gay people would give into its power is Romans 1:24-28. However, the Apostle Paul knew and understood that some of his “believers” in the Church at Rome were former homosexuals and lesbians (Read the whole chapter of Romans 1). This is not a new issue in anyway in the Christian Church. To be clear, the former homosexuals repented and came back to righteousness but those that were overcome by this sin are referred to as “handed over by God to a reprobate mind”. As sad as it is, our sister has been claimed and given over to a reprobate mind (obugwagwa) so all we can do is pray for her because all things are possible.

Romans 1:24-28 New International Version

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
